The XTemplate 3.0 language is a solution created to easy the authoring of multimedia programs using the NCL language. With XTemplate it is possible to create templates, called composite templates, that describe in a generic way all the content of an NCL context. The author using a template has only to indicate the media objects to be used in a document. An XTemplate template is like an NCL document with “holes” to be filled with the media objects the author wants.
In order to be able to execute an NCL document using a template in a Ginga middleware standard implementation, it has to be processed into a complete document. Check my publications for more information about XTemplate.
Currently, the XTemplate language and processor are maintained by professor Glauco Amorim.
